At the beginning of this post the author references the evolution of inclusion diagrams by the educator Shelley Moore. How Shelley Moore has changed the representations to show that there is no “typical” learner was one of the most memorable readings from this unit so I appreciated the author including this in their post. I also enjoyed the video the author included which served as a good introduction into UDLs, why use them and what they are.

I really enjoyed reading this post! Starting off with the author sharing their own experience/observation of inclusion in the classroom showed me why this topic is important to the author and why it should be a priority for educators. I additionally enjoyed all of the author’s ideas to include various individuals in an activity using the 5 senses. I agree that we must not only find solutions to accommodate individuals but also make sure that the students don’t feel as if they are “different or incapable”.
